This research project seeks to illuminate the complex relationship between IP and trade, which is crucial to New Zealand's international and domestic economic performance. Through the exploration of the WTO trade instruments and domestic laws, the project aims to address the inconsistencies and gaps in current frameworks. As the landscape of trade continues to evolve, particularly in the services sector, it is essential to understand and navigate the intricate web of regulations governing both tangible and intangible assets. This knowledge will ensure that New Zealand can continue to strive for inclusive and sustainable trade outcomes, maintain its competitiveness in international markets, and uphold its commitments under Free Trade Agreements.
